AT&T’s $150 on-contract price for the 7-inch LG G Pad LTE tablet isn’t bad any way you look at it. If you’re planning to buy an LG phone at the same time, it’s even better — just $1 starting August 8, when you pick up the LG G3, LG G2, or LG G Flex.

If you’re into a monthly payment plan instead, 24 months of $12.50 per month installments bring you to a $300 all-in bill for the LTE-ready model.

Running Android 4.4 Kit Kat, this midrange slate gets is processing juice from a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 400 chipset and a 4,000 mAh battery. Its 1,280×800-pixel resolution, 5-megapixel camera, 8GB internal storage, and 1GB RAM also mark it as a lower-end tablet that trades power for affordability. LG OS mainstays like Knock Code, QuickMemo+, and a multitasking mode are on board.

We’ll be back with a full review as soon as we get our unit in from AT&T. It’s worth noting as well that BestBuy sells the Wi-Fi-only variation for $150.
